Mandate

The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) is entrusted with the vital task of promoting the welfare and social development of the municipality’s residents, particularly those who are vulnerable, marginalized, or in need of assistance. Its mandate encompasses the implementation of social welfare programs and services aimed at addressing poverty, inequality, and social exclusion. The office provides support to individuals and families facing various challenges, including but not limited to, child welfare, elderly care, persons with disabilities, and victims of abuse or exploitation. Additionally, it collaborates with government agencies, NGOs, and community-based organizations to advocate for the rights and well-being of all citizens.
